Happy Halloween 2026

I am mostly better after the September car crash, but won't have a new car for 2 more weeks, until my daughter comes home and goes with me to the Kia dealer to buy one. But if I could drive and find a friend to go with me, this is what I would do for my Halloween adventure:

Fall Foliage Rambler

October 31st - November 1st | Times Vary

Woodstown Central Railroad

See Salem County at its most colorful aboard the Fall Foliage Rambler. This two-hour autumn excursion travels approximately 32 miles over the full length of Woodstown Central Railroad, passing through Woodstown,Swedesboro, and Salem while showcasing forests, farmland, and fall scenery along the way. Spots are filling up fast.

I have always loved a train ride. My favorite ones were in West Virginia with my family, but I have also taken the Jim Thorpe train ride and another one in Pa. several times. The magic and excitement of the train ride will probably end with my generation as younger people only know speedine trains, not the old passenger lines, and I think it doesn't hold the same chache' - I could be wrong.

Anyhow, even to this day, the morning train that passes through my town reaches me with its lonesome whale song!

Have a Happy Halloween and I hope you enjoy your old time favorite scary movies with it!
