Robert A. Selig is a historical consultant who received his Ph.D. in
history from the Universität Würzburg in Germany in 1988. He serves as
project historian to the National Park Service for the Washington-
Rochambeau Revolutionary Route National Historic Trail Project. He has
also served and continues to serve as Project Historian for the American
Battlefield Protection Program since 1997. His articles have appeared in
William and Mary Quarterly, Eighteenth-Century Studies, American
Heritage, Naval History, and Military History Quarterly.
