Alliance Colony

In an earlier post this week, I mentioned backyard chickens and the poultry growers in South Jersey history.  By coincidence in the SNJ TODAY newspaper, there was a full page article on the
136th Anniversary of the Founding of the ALLIANCE Colony
The first successful establishment of a Russian/Jewish farming community in the United States in 1882, will be celebrated August 12 with a picnic at the Alliance Cemetery, 970 Gershel Ave., Norma, NJ For Reservations call 856-696-4445 $18 per adult.

Happy Trails!
